Important Instructions

  • Currently this facility is available only for Master/Visa Credit card.
  • For authentication purpose, Rs. 2/- will be charged to the card, which shall be refunded back to your card in 14 days.
  • The Standing Instructions activation request will be processed within 5 working days.
  • If your Policy already has an active Auto Pay mode like ECS etc, it will be automatically deactivated once the new auto pay instructions get activated.
  • Please note the premium falling due within the next 15 days will not get debited to your card but have to be paid using other payment modes
  • In the future, if you wish to discontinue this feature please mail us on info@sbilife.co.in.,atleast 15 days before the next premium due date
  • You can register for Auto-Payment through your Bank's Net-Banking facility.
  • When you register for Auto Payment, the premium will be automatically debited from your account on the due date.
  • The process at most banks is generally similar:
    • Login to your net-banking account and click on "Add Biller".
    • Enter the policy number and Premium amount/Date of Birth.
    • Select the "Auto" or "View and Pay" option as per your convenience ("Auto" option debits the premium automatically).

  • After successful capture of information, the filled mandate will be emailed to your registered mail ID. Submit a signed hard copy of the mandate along with one of the following proofs of your bank account to your nearest SBI Life branch. Click here  to locate your nearest branch
    • Cancelled cheque leaf with pre-printed name
    • Self attested Copy of Bank Passbook or Bank Account statement
  • Activation of the auto pay instructions may take 20-30 days from the date of submission of the mandate to SBI Life.Premiums falling due until then have to be paid directly through any of our other payment modes.
  • We shall intimate you once we receive a confirmation on the activation of the auto pay instructions from your bank.You can also check the status of your request by logging into our customer self service portal or writing to us at info@sbilife.co.in
  • If your Policy is currently lapsed you need to revive it first by paying all past dues before setting up the auto pay instructions
